
Classic Tiramisu
This Classic Tiramisu layers coffee-soaked ladyfingers with a rich mascarpone mixture, creating a delightful harmony of creamy and bold flavors. Topped with cocoa powder, each bite is a perfect balance of sweetness and a hint of bitterness.
Ingredients

- 3 wholeeggs, separated
- 3.53 ozgranulated sugar
- 8 9/11 ozmascarpone cheese
- 11/13 cupstrong brewed coffee, cooled
- 6.76 Tbspcoffee liqueur, optional
- 10.58 ozladyfinger cookies
- 1.06 ozunsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting
- 1 tspvanilla extract
Directions
- Step 1: Prepare the Coffee Mixture

In a shallow dish, combine the brewed coffee and coffee liqueur (if using). Set aside to cool.
- Step 2: Whisk Egg Yolks and Sugar

In a bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and granulated sugar until the mixture is pale and creamy, about 4-5 minutes.

Gently fold the mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract into the egg yolk mixture until smooth and well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk the egg whites until soft peaks form, then carefully fold them into the mascarpone mixture in batches.
- Step 5: Dip the Ladyfingers

Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not overly soggy.

In a rectangular dish, create a layer of soaked ladyfingers, followed by half of the mascarpone mixture. Repeat with another layer of ladyfingers and then the remaining mascarpone mixture.

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to set and allow flavors to meld.

Just before serving, remove the tiramisu from the fridge and dust the top generously with cocoa powder.
