Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus
Crispy, savory prosciutto envelops tender asparagus spears in this delightful appetizer. It’s a perfect balance of salty and fresh, making it an irresistible snack or starter.
Ingredients
- 8 oz prosciutto, thinly sliced
- 1 lb asparagus, trimmed
- 2 tbsp olive oil, for drizzling
- 1 tsp black pepper, freshly ground
- 1 tsp sea salt, optional
- 1 tsp garlic powder, optional for extra flavor
- lemon wedges, for serving, optional
Directions
Set your oven to preheat at 400°F (200°C).
Trim the tough ends off the asparagus and rinse under cold water.
Take a slice of prosciutto and wrap it around each asparagus spear, starting from the bottom and spiraling upwards.
Arrange the wrapped asparagus on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Drizzle olive oil over the wrapped asparagus and sprinkle with black pepper, sea salt, and garlic powder if using.
Roast the asparagus in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the prosciutto is crispy.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Optionally, serve with lemon wedges.
