
Fresh Tomato Basil Bruschetta

- 4 cupfresh tomatoes, diced, seeds removed
- 4 Tbspfresh basil, thinly sliced chiffonade
- 3 clovegarlic, 1 clove minced, 2 cloves halved for rubbing toast
- 3 Tbspextra virgin olive oil, high quality preferred
- 1/2 tspkosher salt, adjust to taste
- 1/4 tspfreshly ground black pepper, adjust to taste
- 1 Tbspbalsamic glaze, drizzle lightly before serving
Directions
- Step 1: Prepare the Tomato Mixture

In a medium bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, minced garlic, sliced basil, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Gently stir to combine and allow the mixture to sit for 10 minutes so the flavors meld together.
- Step 2: Toast the Bread

Preheat oven to 400°F. Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet in a single layer. Toast for 8 to 10 minutes until golden and crisp around the edges.
