- 2 Tbsplemon juice, freshly squeezed if possible
- 1 clovegarlic, minced
- 2 Tbspolive oil, plus extra for serving
- 1/2 tspground cumin, optional for added warmth
- 1/4 tspsalt, to taste
- water, to adjust consistency

In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, roasted red peppers, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, cumin, and salt. Process until the mixture is smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.

If the hummus is too thick, add water, one tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached. Blend again to incorporate any added water.
